Yes. Reaching your goal comes down to asking. Your donors don't need to be wealthy: lots of people each giving an amount that suits them adds up.
Where to start
Back yourself first. Donate what you can to your own page, even a small amount. A page with a donation on it is more likely to inspire others.
Widen the circle. Think beyond close friends: workmates, your gym, clubs, old teammates, neighbours. Each group is a new set of people who may back you.
Ask directly. A personal message is harder to ignore than a post. Ready-to-edit messages are at raceforimpact.com/en/fundraising-messaging.
Check employer matching. If your employer matches donations, each match adds to your total. See How can my employer match my donations through its workplace giving platform?
Reach past your contacts. Put a QR code poster up at your gym or office (how to get it), run an Instagram fundraiser so followers can give inside the app, and share Photo Lab images that show your progress.
Put the time in
Fundraising rewards effort the same way training does. Share regularly, follow up with people who haven't replied yet, and keep asking right up to race day.
