How does a foundation or donor-advised fund (DAF) make a grant to my fundraising page?

Grants from a private foundation, a donor-advised fund (DAF, such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, DAFgiving360 or Vanguard Charitable) or a corporate foundation can support your fundraising page, but they do not come through the page itself. Here is what the grant maker needs and how the gift reaches your page.

Details for the grant maker

  • Legal name: High Impact Athletes Inc

  • US EIN: 87-3955308

  • Address: 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, USA

  • Benevity Cause ID: 840-873955308 (Benevity only)

Ask the grant maker to put your name, your team name and your HYROX event in the grant reference or memo so we can match the gift to your page.

Grant agreements, questionnaires and W-9s

Some foundations send a grant agreement to sign, a payee questionnaire or a request for an IRS Form W-9 before releasing funds. Message us here, or ask the foundation to reply to our email thread, and we will complete and return it. Please note that a charity ticket's fundraising commitment is a condition of the discounted ticket under our terms, not a legally binding pledge; we say so on any questionnaire that asks.

How the funds arrive

Cheques go to the address above. Bank transfer details are in Which payment methods are accepted?

Getting the grant credited to your page

A grant cannot be added to your page until the funds have reached us. Once the grant maker confirms it has been issued, message us here with the confirmation and your page link, and we will add it to your total as soon as it lands, recorded as a gift from the fund. Timing is set by the grant maker, so we cannot give a date in advance.

Tax receipts

The grant maker's receipt comes from the fund, not from us, and we cannot advise on the tax treatment of DAF or foundation grants.
