- Start with your own donation. Kick things off by backing yourself. It shows personal commitment and sets the tone for your campaign. Fundraisers who donate to their own page tend to raise significantly more.
- Make personal asks. Mass messages are easy to ignore. Direct outreach—whether via WhatsApp, email, or in person—makes people feel seen and increases the chance they’ll donate. Use your voice. Keep it human, and sometimes it can take more than one ask.
- Map your networks. Think in groups: your workmates, your gym crew, old teammates, your family chat. Where are you already connected? Share your page with a short note and ask for support. These warm circles often bring in early momentum.

- Start strong. People like backing campaigns that have momentum. Consider making a personal donation on Day 1 to get your campaign off to a strong start.
- Post regular updates. People respond to progress.
- Celebrate milestones. It keeps energy high for you and your supporters.
- Create urgency. Try limited-time challenges: “If I hit €100 more by Friday, I’ll do 50 burpees.”
- Use matching funds. Ask your employer or a supporter to match donations for a set time period
- Show impact. Highlight what €10, €25, or €100 can achieve in your cause area.
- Keep the momentum going all the way to the end. We often see a flurry of donations come in the last week so even if you haven't quite yet reached your target, don't give up!
